Thin nacre with low lustre. Lowest grade Akoya pearls representing top 75% of harvest.

Medium nacre and lustre. Medium-grade Akoya pearls representing top 33% of harvest.

Thick nacre with very high lustre. High-grade Akoya pearls representing top 10% of harvest.

Very thick nacre and ultra-high lustre. Highest grade Akoya pearls representing top 1-2% of harvest.
