I purchased the “better,” AA quality Ruby in the roughly half carat size stone in 14k yellow gold. The bezel setting feels very solid and the necklace, overall, looks delicate and classy. Sometimes the stone looks black but in the right light the warm red hue shines through. I’m guessing the higher quality stones probably look brighter in all lighting scenarios. Overall I am happy with it, especially for the price.

I purchased the smallest pendant with the highest quality ruby offered in rose gold. I love the bezel setting. I think the smallest one is the most precious, and rose gold makes it sweeter.
