I was a bit nervous about giving my girlfriend a ring. I wanted to pick something out and surprise her on my own. I always thought amethyst stones were beautiful. She needed to purchase a t-shirt the morning before I gave it to her and she picked out a purple one. I asked her if she liked purple and she said it is one of my favorite colors. That evening I told her I had a gift for her. She wasn't thinking about a ring. She opened the box, the box lighted up and there the ring was. She loved it, very affectionate, we're 67 yo.
