The Traveling Pendant - byWilliam W.First of all, the pendant is beautiful, a small amethyst surrounded by a loop of diamonds, hanging on a gold chain. I purchased the pendant at the beginning of January for my wife’s birthday on February 1. What I didn’t realize was that the pendant was being made offshore, in this case Thailand. The order was supposed to be delivered January 18-19. On 1/20 I sent an email asking for the progress. Angara responded promptly, explaining that the product didn’t meet quality standards so that it was being remade. Estimated date of shipping was 1/30. I followed the progress of the pendant. From Thailand to Abu Dhabi, to Cologne Germany, where it had to pass through Customs. This was like watching “Amazing Race”. Finally clearing Customs the item was sent to the UPS hub in Louisville Kentucky, right in the middle of a severe winter snowstorm, delaying processing. I was happy to see it on a plane to LAX. On February 7 I received my package, almost a week late. The product is good and so was the price. But I would advise anyone else to give yourself plenty of time and to keep track of the process.
