I bought this as a Mother's ring. I had looked for a very long time, and ultimately decided on this ring because I could choose the size and stone quality. The color of the rubies was very important to me. I am overall very pleased with the quality. One small thing that I was not expecting was that the rubies are smaller than the diamonds. It is very slight, but noticeable. When laying the ring on a perfectly flat surface, the diamonds touch the surface but the rubies do not, because they are slightly smaller. I would say the stock photos on the website are not *exactly* what you will get. I chose the middle size (9 stones) and the heirloom quality gems in 14k yellow gold. Do not bother with engraving; the band is too small and it cannot be seen.
